Fransciscan Monks are deeded the property on Kloster Straße to build a Monastery, the first in Berlin.. The project gets a boost when a Jacob von Nebede, a Knight Templar, gives the Monks a Brickyard in Templehof. The resulting church is an early example of the Brick Gothic style
